Key Responsibilities
- Understand the Loyalty and Benefits domain and how it powers the AMEX experience for customers
- Learn and support our legacy applications and modern platforms to develop a deep understanding of all functional workflows.
- Work closely with product owners and/or other technology counterparts globally as needed to further our initiatives targeting business growth, cost savings, platform maintenance and platform modernization.
- Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, demos and retrospectives
- Take ownership and lead initiatives
- Co-ordinate delivery of the project across global teams. Manage risk through all stages of the project life cycle.
Minimum Qualification
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle dev
- STAR experience is a plus
- Key skills include proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX
- SQL and PL/SQL: Writing and executing SQL queries and developing PL/SQL procedures and functions.
- Experience with Oracle Forms and Weblogic
- Performance Tuning: Optimizing database performance, including query optimization and resource allocation.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving environment issues, including performance problems and errors.
- Data Migration: Experience with Performing database migrations and upgrades is a plus.
- Cloud Expertise: Working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms.
- Scripting and Automation: Using scripting languages (e.g., Python, unix, Java) to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
- Ability to independently work with product and business to gather requirements, design and implement solutions.
- Commitment to write clean maintainable code with good documentation practices
